Tonight, Friday 24th June saw the Finals evening of the 2001 Tournament, and although we didn't have the weather on side, we still managed to complete our schedule of games to find our winners for 2011.

Website Wonders -
Over the past 2 weeks we have seen the benefit of the website in being able to communicate messages and updates to a wide audience in a very easy way. You, the supporters of the Naas Garda League helped us go through the 100,000 hits target we had, and it's rising daily. But how global are we?
We have had visitors on our site from Europe and other parts of the world, admittidly some probably tripped over the site accidently, but others were intentional. One of our Naas Community Officers Jian, who had been involved with the Committee since February in the organising of the tournament was on holiday in China the 1st week of the tournament, but as he told us tonight he didn't miss a thing as he kept up to date on the website. Also in Johannesburg we have had an audience of young soccer players tuning in. Being lucky to be working on a project out there this year I have been able to establish links with an U11 team, and on the last trip out there I was able to bring out 2 large kit bags full of donated Team jerseys and football boots which I have been informed have all found very grateful homes.
All the photo's from Week 1 loaded and week 2 in progress. There is a 1 day delay in the photos reaching the web, whilst we edit and upload them.
Thanks to all our supporters for helping us achieve over 100,000 hits on our website. We hope that the website is valuable addition to the Naas Garda League.

Managers please make sure you are up at the pitches at least 15 mins before kick-off to complete match cards for the referees.
Many thanks to James Hilliard - for the work in preparing the pitches for the tournament, they are in tremendous condition, and for the work throughout the 2 weeks keeping them drained, cut and marked. Thanks also to Naas AFC for the use of the equipment (Goals/Nets/poles etC).
